What to know about the San Angelo Rodeo Parade

The San Angelo Rodeo Parade will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, kicking off the festivities and competitions for the annual rodeo, rodeo organizers said.
The spectator favorite is one of the largest parades held each year in San Angelo, according to the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association.
"Regardless of weather, the parade will go on, with the exception of lightning," organizers said. "This annual event is held in historic downtown San Angelo, and features riding clubs, antique tractors, wagons, marching bands and floats."
Parade route
The San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association has announced the parade route:
- Start at Irving and Concho streets
- Proceed east to Oakes Street
- Turn left on Oakes to Twohig Avenue
- Turn left on Twohig
- Go to Chadbourne Street
- Turn right on Chadbourne and go to College Street
- Turn left off College Street
- Continue to Irving Street, turn left on Irving to Beauregard Avenue
- Turn right on Beauregard, proceed to Randolph Street
- Turn left on Randolph, go to River Drive and dismiss
