Plea agreement reached in Evansville child molesting case

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - We have a 14 News Update on an Evansville child molesting case.
Court records show Michael McGuire reached a plea agreement Friday.
He was arrested in November 2023 and charged four counts of child molesting and two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor.
Authorities say a victim came forward and claimed the abuse happened several times over a period of five years.
Records show McGuire’s trial that was set to start Monday has been canceled, and a sentencing date of April 30 has been set.
