Officials announced Monday night that 24-year-old Angela Pegues, one of the suspects already in custody, has more charges added to her rap sheet including felony obstruction of justice, two counts of attempted murder, three counts of discharging a firearm into occupied property, and discharging a firearm in city limits.

She was previously just charged with accessory before and after the fact of attempted murder.

LPD says that just before 1 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to the 400 block of Hood Drive for shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers say they located the victims, a 23-year-old mother and her 2-year-old.

Scotland County EMS responded and took the two victims to Scotland Memorial Hospital, where the mother was treated and released. The 2-year-old was taken to another medical facility for treatment, listed in critical condition.

According to police, the mother and her child were sitting in her vehicle when a red in color vehicle pulled up. A passenger in the car reportedly began firing multiple shots at the car, hitting the mother and her child.

Warrants were drawn for a 16-year-old boy for two counts of attempted murder, three counts of discharging a weapon into occupied property, discharging a firearm in city limits, and possession of a firearm by a minor. Police say the boy turned himself in Sunday afternoon.
